I won two lipsticks last week!
Magic Lips in 'Jet' and 17 Cosmetics in 'Showbiz'.
The deal with the Magic Lips lipstick (L) by Ultraglow is that it goes on black (in this case, there are several shades available) and depending on the ph of your skin it goes a different colour. On me it went a rich wine colour after a short period of development. It's a lip stain so you can expect a long lasting colour.
The Magic Lips goes on slightly black at first but quickly starts changing
Mid-development
The application of the Magic Lips was a bit hit and miss on me. I thought it was just my knackered winter lips, until I came to use the 17 lipstick which went on fine. Having said that, I'm not going to give up just yet, I'll try again after giving my lips a good scrub, buff and moisturise, as I'm sure it'll aid an even application.
How miserable do I look here?!
It's a bit 'bitty'
You'll have to excuse the sloppy application, I wanted to get it on fast so I could take pics.
It seems to be pinker on the softer inner parts of my lips
This is it totally removed. As you can see it's left a good stain
This is the colour Jet finished up on me
You can get Magic Lips by Ultraglow here for £5.49
The lipstick I won from 17 is a-maaaazing. I've finally found the perfect pink-toned red for me! It makes my teeth look whiter, complements my skin tone, is super moisturising and lasts ages. No, they're not paying me, honest!
Anyway, here are the pics so you can make your own minds up:
Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins.
Showbiz is available to buy from Boots stores and Boots.com here and costs £4.29.
Do you like my new glasses? I'm so pleased with them.

Pink Big - Soap and Glory!
Hello all.
I have probably been a little subdued in my protestations of my love for Soap and Glory, but no more!
I am a complete S&G ho-bag. There is entirely too much pink in my bathroom, but I can always shove some non-pink toiletries off the shelf and make room for some more Soap and Glory. Always.
When I got the e-mail through from S&G Towers letting me know Pink Big (rrp £60) would be £25 for a week in Boots, I was in like stink. I had it in my little paws less than 12 hours later. Enough waffle, tharrrrrr she blows!
For your £25 you get a huge tote bag, a collapsible laundry type box, and the following goodies:
What a steal!
Have you got yours yet?!

Last e.l.f. haul of 2010!
Hiya!
So, as some of you may know, I'm a bit of an e.l.f. fiend because of their unbelievably cheap prices and value for money - you're not JUST getting cheap products but GOOD cheap products!
So, as some of you may know, I'm a bit of an e.l.f. fiend because of their unbelievably cheap prices and value for money - you're not JUST getting cheap products but GOOD cheap products!
There was a promotion recently when if you spent over £18 you got a free 100 eyeshadow palette, so of course I was in like a ferret down a rabbit hole.
Here's the palette:
Here's a close up of the shadows, 25 at a time:
I some tools - a foundation brush, an eyeshadow smudge sponge. I thought it was a brush when I ordered, but it seems to be a good quality sponge, most unlike the cheap ones in compacts which fall apart after 3 uses. I also got some cuticle sticks which have rubbery bits at one end to push the cuticle back, and a more solid point at the other end for scraping out cack from under the nails.
I got an all over colour stick in Golden Peach which is A-mazing! The perfect shimmery golden glow.
I also got a minty lip gloss, a plumping lip glaze and a lip stain with a top coat.
It's worth mentioning that the lip stain pictured above doesn't have the top coat applied to it so it looks a bit matte. The top coat really makes a difference.
So here's the minty lip gloss:
Isn't it gorge? Because it's SO minty it's almost as good a breath freshener as chewing gum and it's so sparkly! Be-a-utiful!
Miami is just a stunning shade and I think it's my favourite pick of the 3 lip products in this e.l.f. order.
Here's the lip plumper:
After I took this pic I took my labret piercing out and cleaned it. YUK!
Champagne is a nice shade with not as much 'bang for your buck' to my mind as the other 2 lippies, but this is in the £1.50 range and the other two are £3.50 each. There is a difference in quality. As to the plumping qualities of this gloss? It does give that lovely tingle but I didn't notice much of a difference in lip size. To counter that, my favourite plumper is Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker and I still don't end up with porn star lips, I just enjoy the supreme tingle it gives (especially on a chilly day - wowza!)
And finally the lip stain (as it's a stain I didn't want it to ruin the photos of the other two so I did it last).
The top coat really brings it alive, especially when you go back and compare it to the swatch on my hand. In consistency, the bottom coat goes on as creamy as Avon's Perfect Wear Ever Glaze, that weird powdery-dry-but-creamy feeling, and the top coat brings it to life. It does last a little longer than a gloss for me. It made it through lunch and after that I forgot to check how long it had lasted.
I also got some mineral concealer for my ruddy winter face.

More e.l.f. goodies
First they tempted me with the free 32 eye shadow palette. This order they snagged me with the free 6 shadow set.
I didn't take any photos of the eye shadows as I'm gifting them.....I'm terrible, aren't I? I also fluffed it and bought 2 of the same shade of lip plumper, so I'll gift one of those too.
I tried it today and it didn't appear to be very plumping, but it had that tingling sensation I love (which is SO well done in Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker lip plumper - my go-to lip plumper - available from Boots) and the colour is subtle, so I can't say fairer than that for £1.50.
I also got the Mineral Booster powder finisher, in shimmer (small) which was £3.50.
It's hard to describe what it does. I used it for the first time today. I think I saw someone else refer to it as a 'soft focus' finish and I'd agree with that. This is what they say on the e.l.f website about it: 'Achieve the ultimate, translucent "photo finishing touch" to your makeup, our Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B and E to promote healthier skin that’s noticeably silkier and smoother. Completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Booster gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores for a beautiful even finish.'
I also got 3 nail polishes (£1.50 each).
L-R Glitter Glam, Red Velvet and Chocolate
Coming soon, I was sucked in by a 100 eyshadow palette when I spent £18 on an order. HOW do they manage to have everything so cheap and do these great offers too?!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargggggh!
Thanks for reading.

My first Gok Wan underwear purchase
Hiya!
Hands up if you love Gok Wan?
Hands up if you love Gok Wan?
Me too! I've long admired the cheeky wee scamp and I've been wanting to buy something from his underwear range at Simply Be for the last couple of years. SB had a sale recently so I bought the Slicker Knicker at half price.
As soon as I opened the bag I was very impressed with the packaging.
This picture SHOULD be horizontal but it's gone doolally
Front
Lovely lining
Blurry, sorry.
Back
All in all it's a helluva knicker. Boned at the front, ruched at the back, and they look so good and feel lovely on, so comfortable.
All I need to do now is wait for another sale to see if I can get them in another colour :)
Thanks for being here.
