Hello all!
My new camera arrived yesterday and I've been busy snapping away with it.
I wanted to talk about 2 deodorants I bought recently, which are both good for different reasons.
First, I saw this One Planet natural deodorant in Asda for £1 for 50ml. At that price I had nothing to lose, and I was attracted by the natural aspect of it as it's made from Rosemary and Sage.
It made my underarms feel really nice and they resembled a badly plucked chicken a lot less than usual, but I didn't find it kept me dry all the time. It's quite watery, and once when I was applying it with gusto, I got some in my eye. It didn't hurt at all, so if you tend to get deodorant in your eye a lot, you could do worse than this one, ha! It smells herbal, but not unpleasant. I would say this would be ideal for someone with the environment and avoiding chemicals in mind, and it could be a great starter deodorant for a teen girl, but isn't ideal if you want a powdery dry feeling all day.
My next venture into B.O. bashers was this one by Mitchum, and this is what I'll buy as long as they make it. It is available in Asda for £2 for 100ml.
It keeps me dry all the time, smells like Johnson's baby talc (which is like crack to me) and is a large roll on. They also do an aerosol version of this deodorant, also £2, for 200ml.
What deodorant do you use? Have you used the same one forever or do you try something different every time? Are you a roll on or an aerosol gal?
I use roll on most of the year but aerosols in the summer. I'm not brave enough to use spray deodorant in winter! Brrr, shiver me timbers!

I also wanted to talk about scrubby gloves, which I've been using for years on and off to keep my skin lovely and soft. They're kinda like brillo pads for the body and they make you as soft as a baby's bum afterwards.
I got these in Asda for £1.32 in the toiletries aisle, but Poundland sometimes does them. You could use them dry (if you're brave enough) to brush your skin with, but I use them wet. You can give yourself a good exfoliate with them with just water, but I like to kill two birds with one stone so I squeeze as much shower gel onto them as I would do if I were using a shower puff thingy, and lather up while I'm giving myself a good scrub. I wouldn't advise using them on your delicate bits though, as they're pretty rough. Oww! Slap a bit of body lotion on yourself while you're still damp afterwards and you won't be able to keep your hands off yourself!
You can put them in a 60 degree wash once in a while to kill the germs off.
Have you ever used 'brillo pad' gloves?
